Stuck in the Pipeline

Funnels of innovation can filter out the laggards in theory, but you have to create an environment where great concepts are encouraged and are given the chance to prove it before you you cut the flow of cash. Found the idea? Prove it through market research and pilots. It only takes a bit of due diligence to prove one way or another if it's a keeper or if it's time to kill / combine concepts and save the time and money. 

I suppose that in terms of a product 'pipeline' it means you should use some Drano, recognize that bits of slime will bypass the drain and maybe a bit of hair. Never mind, weird analogy. Keep it simple: foster big thinking and mobilize the champions - let the water flow!
